Service for heavy-duty transport strengthened in Finland

Road Mobility Services continues its growth in Finland through the acquisition of Rengas-Vekka, a long-established full-service tire company. With this acquisition, Road Mobility Services expands its operations into Hämeenlinna, an area of particular importance for heavy-duty transport.

Rengas-Vekka Oy, operating in Hämeenlinna and part of the RengasCenter chain, was founded in 1980 by the parents of the current CEO, Teija Vekka-Pirhonen. The company provides tire services for everything from wheelbarrows to wheel loaders. Since its founding, emergency roadside assistance for unexpected tire issues has also been a core part of the business.

Rengas-Vekka operates two facilities in Hämeenlinna, one of which specializes in heavy-duty transport services. This facility is located in the Moreeni industrial area, as part of Rekka-Rasti, in a strategically important logistics location at the junction of highways 10 and 3 (E12). The company’s second site, located in the Kauriala district, also serves other types of vehicles, including passenger cars and agricultural machinery.

Rengas-Vekka will continue to be a member of the RengasCenter chain, and its local, customer-oriented service will remain unchanged under the leadership of CEO Teija Vekka-Pirhonen.
